As a parent I am passionate about children being active and establishing an understanding of healthy lifestyle choices which is why I chose to qualify as a children's fitness instructor. Planning and delivering PE sessions to Children aged 5 - 11 years is not only about getting them exercising and having fun, it's an opportunity for them to start understanding how their bodies move and work. With my 11 - 15 years we focus on proper technique and helping them to gain confidence before entering the gym environment. I find Boxercise very popular with my younger clients as they love the power and energy that comes with focusing on training methods used by boxers. Taking out their frustration on slam balls and focus pads helps to alleviate stress and anxiety, as well as being challenging and fun. I hold full DBS and have undertaken safeguarding training so you can be assured that your child is in the best hands when I am working one to one with them, or undertaking family or group training sessions.
I truly believe that fitness should be for life and there are so many benefits to our physical and mental health in staying active. If you are ready to make your health and fitness a priority but need a helping hand to get started, have a look at the services I offer and contact me today to discuss how I can help you.

SERVICES
Personal Training
The aim of my personal training is to create a programme to help you achieve your goals and improve your overall health and wellbeing.
A combination of challenging, fun exercises and support to adopt healthier lifestyle habits will help you feel fitter, stronger and full of confidence. I use a variety of equipment during sessions to challenge your body and I'm also watching your technique to keep exercises safe and to see when we can progress to a heavier weight or a more advanced exercise. Personal training is completely focused on you and clients tell me that not only is it exercise but it's therapy. Click on the Personal Training page for more information.
Group Fitness
Group fitness classes bring many benefits to both children and adults, especially if they choose to train together. The energy of the group motivates and inspires you to work harder. And the friendships built up keep people coming back not only for the work out but to socialise and see friends. Group fitness is a great way of getting back into fitness. Contact me today to book on and get started.
Senior Fitness
Strength and flexibility as we age is so important for continuing to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. One of the leading concerns as we age is falling. The consequence of a fall can be disastrous; between 12% and 67% of elderly adults who fracture a hip die within one year. To reduce this significant risk it's important to work on our balance and keep our body strong and flexible. We start to lose the ability to balance around age 55 and a sedentary lifestyle that can creep in with with age related factors compromises our muscle strength, joint mobility, healthy feet and proprioception. Keeping active will help to reduce the risk of falls, injuries and illness. It's never too late to start!
Children's Fitness Instructing
Children's anatomy and physiology has different requirements and considerations from an adults due to their ages and growth stages. It is important that a fitness instructor or coach working with children can plan and deliver safe and effective exercise sessions developed for their specific requirements. If you are looking for a qualified professional and competent instructor to help you deliver physical exercise sessions in your school or sports team, or you are a parent who feel's your child would benefit from one to one training, contact me today to discuss how I can help.
